WHY I'M RUNNING

David Still for Mayor
Lawrenceville is the HUB of Gwinnett, and I want us to live up to that distinction by becoming
a real "live, work and play” community.
As I reflect upon the completion of my first term as Mayor, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Lawrenceville.

After much prayer and consideration, with the support of my wife, family and friends, I have decided to run for Mayor again in order to continue the pursuit of building community and making Lawrenceville the live work-play art hub of Gwinnett County. Working with my peers on the Council and in the community, I look forward to completing several more transformational projects in our city.

Over the last seventeen years, I have invested a lot of effort into improving Lawrenceville through numerous organizations. As Mayor, a member of the City Council and the Downtown Development Authority, I have teamed with other city leaders to revitalize our downtown through redevelopment projects like the South Lawn, City View and the Lawrenceville Arts Center; by attracting quality businesses like Slow Pour, a micro-brewery; Beer Republic, a regional brewery; and more restaurants than you can count.making our downtown a real destination.

I want to continue the work of cleaning up the decaying areas of our city, increasing opportunities to maintain and grow our neighborhoods and completing future plans that BUILD COMMUNITY.
